Flexsteel Earns ‘Sustainable by Design’ Status

Dublin's Flexsteel plant joined its three sister plants in receiving Sustainable by Design status from the American Home Furnishing Alliance, according to an industry trade article published Thursday.

The Dublin plant, along with fellow Flexsteel plants in Dubuque, Iowa, Riverside, Calif. and Harrison, Ark., became the largest number of separate facilities to complete the EFEC program simultaneously, according to an article in trade magazine Furniture Today.

I-16 Corridor Alliance Pools Resources to Attract Growth

Twelve counties linked by Interstate 16 believe there is strength in numbers.

The newly formed I-16 Corridor Alliance pools the resources from these 12 counties to attract the attention of the Georgia Ports Authority and those who have a hand in placing distribution, warehousing and transportation centers along the corridor, which stretches from Macon to Savannah.

Washington - In an annual comparison of each state's business climate, Georgia has come in at No. 2, moving up two notches from last year.

The rankings, released Thursday in Site Selection magazine, showed that the Southeast continues to dominate as the region most attractive to business leaders.
