Cost of Living
Laurens County is neither a metropolitan nor a desolate zip code. With that comes traffic-less streets, reasonable taxes, good schools, and tightly knit neighborhoods.
Pleasant living in Laurens County is further enhanced by the availability of housing in a wide price range (on average between $60,000 on the low end and $200,000 on the high); shopping centers for any need; a variety of places to dine and lodge; and a history rooted in agricultural trades.

To illustrate the point further, although completely dependent on personal preferences, anyone in the county can live on acres or water fronts, join the Country Club, send their children to private schools, dine like gourmands, tinker with private planes, and/or enjoy year-round golf – and do so by simply earning the average wages supported by local industry.
